Flash of Recognition
Late at night
the mind wanders
Filled with thoughts
of the day past
and the day ahead
Nightime in the
city
Myriad minds
seek peace
tired eyes begin to close
but a Flash of
Recognition
occurs
the city dream
becomes real
in so many hearts
Meeting each other
in the gloom
Realizing that we
are all connected
Our lives intertwined
with our fellow humans
in this urban scenario
Only one chance
to jump on this
train
Grab ahold of yourself
Make the jump!
it will tie you
to so many others
The city is calling
upon you
and your response
will determine
your fate
and the fate
of others
here in the asphalt
homeland
