This poem is dedicated to those who surred the terrible flash flood in Mauritius on 30th March 2013; it made many victims and damages.

Brute brown raging water From torrential rain worse ever Washing away all on 30th march Took us by surprise quite fast The deluge brought bitter desperation Causing panic through its massive destruction Stealing oxygen from the lungs of many And stripping us of our safety The nation’s natural disaster tragedy The sign of man’s destined frailty Brought great Mauritian solidarity To the families in terrible difficulty The city turned into a muddy pool A scar not to be forgotten so soon Can also be a harbinger of worse That Climate change can bring doom.

Yes I agree. We need to take care of God's creation. Many friends were affected recently in Houston and BR, La, actually having to move away due to recent floods. Thank you for your poem. I have read several of your poems which I enjoyed.
