I like when people write haiku in this fashion (cause and affect, where the reader is left to make the connection)... the image you paint feels very alive and happening as if I was really there... you my friend GET haiku. Lovely work :)

I would place this much higher! (a true haiku....not a continuation of a sentence)....... great form, Francine, and wonderful images!

Reading this reminded me of some Florida scenery. Walt Disney World in Orlando has a large population of these pink birds. Good way to describe them here.
