Flame Casts No Shadow
Luke 3:17
Matthew 3:2
Hebrews 12:29
Nehemiah 9:12
A Flame hath no shadow of its own
For light is pure and blameless
Under this glare secrets art shown
They shine no longer nameless
In the true and holy Light of God
No darkness nor sin doth taint
Pillar of fire, tall and broad
That safely warms His Saints
The burning heart of the zealous
The warming heat of love
Ignite the called to tell us
Of our Father, Savior, and Dove
Our God is a consuming fire
The Spirit, a sweet, fervent heat
The Son, as King, will build a pyre
To separate chaff from wheat
The chaff will all be burned away
The wheat harvested home
For each of us, our choice made
Thank God we could atone
Before God's cup of wrath is poured
Seek Him and that heavenly home
Fire is kind if you've opened loves door
For flame hath no shadow of its own.
