Flame & Shadow
If i were a flame
what color would i burn
the sun is white & yellow-bright
could i be the same
a candle lit burns red in silent vigil
would my light embrace this purity
or blue & burn in fury would i be
or toxic green with no shame
like venom in a blaze
the sun is white & yellow-bright
could i be the same
would my fire change
when i chanced to hear your name
reflect my heart amongst the flames
