arrives the flakes; and driving wind the white swirling and whirling it falls in the forest and on the rivers it veils the homes, gardens and parks the paths and streets and cars until all is winter white come north wind; I hear you while floating snow clouds hang low and flake after flake falls, falls, falls how delicate each one like snow stars on wispy wings they dance and twirl clinging to things they whisper to me in a sorrowful voice flake after flake now, we will melt and die
