Flag Day
A coward goes by
many names – a brave
man often has none;
an Unknown
with a cross…
body parts on a
battlefield –
there is no sin
we do not share,
nor victory
the blessed soul of man
does not have a right
to jointly sing;
far more to measure
than any single journey:
no life worth honoring
that does not recognize
and humbly pay tribute
to the many brave men
and women who died
for our flag, representing
Freedom for All
for which we should proudly
stand, hand over one's heart
Pledging Allegiance.
