FISH OUT OF WATER

am I more valid when I am in water
I am apt to explore outside my bubble
a gurgle of spoken word
unknown
on my scales the weight
of air

I swim
through the sky
the dream
scares the girl
for me it’s divine

‘fore I reach the pinnacle
she’s pinched
liquid eyes open
to prison of glass
