FISH IN BOWL
Me frolic fish once fluttering fins
swam through opulent aqua flow
sometimes too fast or often too slow,
sudden whirling rolled on hurried spins.
Sea foam surged on scarlet scaly skin
Strange quirky sea-creatures all around
Both prey and predator to astound.
Smooth touch of mossy weeds brown or green.
Every moment a challenge with thrill
Me frolic fish once swimming in swarm,
Happy to thrive on algae and worm.
Haply caught with thousands of small krill.
Once muse amused welcoming gay mood.
Now imprisoned in little glass bowl.
Helpless! Remembering sea: Part and whole
Now confined in cell, only to brood.
With my eyes open I dream to swim
in vast sea and wake up in small pot.
Sea is snatched, tiny jar to allot.
None can listen to my soundless scream.
