"snow touches with love the forest trees and fields,
and every single thing with his cold fingers, and covers them all with
a white blanket, whispering, now go to sleep..."
Quote - by Constance
It began as a single snowflake and all night it snowed,
then, in the morn' forests and fields sparkled in the daylight;
and bare tree branches were heavy where the snow glowed.
It had become windy and fierce as trees swayed and bowed,
the air turned quite crisp and cold with a frosty winter bite;
it began as a single snowflake and all night it snowed.
Somewhere hidden the snow birds sang and a crow crowed,
as all nature's beauty was veiled with an inner light;
and bare tree branches were heavy where the snow glowed.
A girl in a red coat walked a bridge where snow had flowed,
stunning how the snow and sky met as one, that was a sight;
it began as a single snowflake and all night it snowed.
Later, in the day the snow was plowed away from each road,
a slippery relief, but the all snow scene was a delight;
and bare tree branches were heavy where the snow glowed.
And during the day the first snow fall of winter had slowed,
yet, still the trees, forest and fields were bathed in white;
it began as a single snowflake and all night it snowed,
and bare tree branches were heavy where the snow glowed.
