First Step To Rehabilitation

one step at a time stands still

when the ringing in the ears
and the haze and nausea clears
                                    a broken body sighs

                                     ready for the next

Wonderfully powerful write, and so much truth and power within ... I haven't written for this, perhaps because life is a series of these steps for me - each day a new challenge to stay status quo. Excellent write, Ms McGreavey! :-)

Cool! It's amazing what a poem can do :) Thank you! Prompted to write about my first step taken after breaking much of my left side, bike vs 2 cars, I broke a lot... helmets work! ;) xomo!
