First Star

In the center of the universe
Where the first star showed its light,
Beaming into emptiness
To begin the endless night.

The black tomorrow wakes
To the glory of a day,
And the first star of the universe
Begins to fade away.

Such a lovely Quatrain, Fran, that stirs the wonderment of our universe and life...very metaphoric. Congrats on your podium win! Sandra

I love the way you rhyme and this poem is "short and sweet". Just lovely.

It possibly is, Vijay. Many times I have no idea where a poem is going until after it is written. Thank you for stopping by. ...Fran
