First Love

It all began one sunny day,
When by my window, he started to play.
He picked up a guitar with no shame
And sang a song as a game.

Was he good? Not at all
And I never thought that's how I'll fall.
He captured my soul and stole my heart,
I didn't want us to ever be apart!

We were friends and nothing more,
But everything he said touched me to the core.
It was like magic or a fairytale,
The only problem was a small detail.

He saw me only as a kid or maybe a friend,
With a similar past that he could understand.
I'm not sure if it was pity or faith
But after five years, we went on a date!

It was Easter Sunday when I was at his house,
I braided his hair while shaking like a mouse.
He left the room to bring me chocolate,
Then he gave me a kiss that I'll never forget!

Am I dreaming? I was so surprised!
We were at his aunt's house when I realized;
"This is what I've been dreaming about!
He is the one I can't live without!"
