First Kiss
the stream trickles playfully
over stones of grey & brown
wild flowers in hues of purple
sway gently in the breeze.
the sun's rays mirror the water
luminating a boy & a girl's silhouette
quietly standing hand in hand
eyes gleaming with excitement.
his heart is racing; her cheeks aglow
with only thoughts of each other
wrapped in the warmth of their touch
they simply know; they know.
the boy slowly turns & faces his girl
her smile so pretty, eyes only for him
its her dimples that get to him
every single time.
as the stream trickles playfully
wild flowers sway in the breeze
he innocently kisses her pink flushed lips
cherishing the moment of; love's very first kiss.
