First Home

I have often told you
I was your first home
You were reluctant to leave
For your new earth abode

You eventually joined us
Our family was made
A beautiful baby
A boy we named Kade!

Years slipped by …the time arrived
That moment I had known
For you to depart
To face the world on your own

With sadness unbearable
I cried my goodbye
It was time for you to see
Life through your own eyes

So my beautiful boy
Wherever you roam
Always remember
I am forever your home!
