Fireworks

By the fireworks
We are in the same chair
Under the same blanket
When she puts her head on my shoulder
Sparks are flying and they are not just the fireworks

I tell myself
Here we go again
I've caught the feelings!
This time for a straight girl

Our number one rule is never to fall for one
My mother tells me that I do not listen
She doesn't know how right she is

She's bubbly, this girl
She's small and she's blonde
And I felt like we had a bond
Because sometimes she clings to me

One more thing
She has never specified wether or not
She is straight
Their is a small glimmer of hope
That I know will be put out
Just like the fireworks
