Fire Away

I don’t own this place.
I only work here.
I don’t make major decisions but
By all means,
Yell at me because it’s going
To help you so much.
It’s not like I want to be here.
Honestly I don’t know why I show up.
It’s not like I enjoy
Working with people who
Come to me
With some of the dumbest problems
Or questions but then
You act all entitled because
According to company policy
You are ALWAYS right.
Which you usually aren’t.
Just because you think you
Are doesn’t mean you are.
Maybe if you knew
How to read a sign
You wouldn’t find
The need to yell
At me or my coworkers
Trust me
We will be making fun
Of you on our breaks
Mocking you.
So ask yourself,
Do you really want to be that person?

Amen...you tell'em Michelle. I truly believe your voice in this poems speaks for more people than could be imagined. Nicely and loudly expressed
