Finished Book

Looking back when we met
I felt so alive beside you
We both felt like a puzzle that fit so perfectly
There was no I without you
Neither you without I
"Us" was the best word to describe u n I

We were a book I enjoyed writing
A poem I loved
An equation that couldn't be easily separated
Each chapter I wrote with joy
Turning a page was easier than one would think
Because each page was so great

Before I knew it
There book needed to it
I had wished for it never to end
Although deep down we were both just characters
Without the book we didn't exist
I had know the day would arise
Etswe sesafeleng sea hlola

I wish we would have been a book that never ended
A poem that continued for centuries
I wish we were like the sun;
That set only to rise more brighter tomorrow

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Lovely first post Selinah,Welcome to Poetry soup, I hope you enjoy the community. Here, you will find friendly poets who enjoy supporting one another. I myself, enjoy reading and commenting those who want to be read. The only time I give constructive criticism is when a poet desires it. However, if for some reason the poem is not my field I will guide you to someone who is more qualified than I. Stop by and read one of my poems if you like. My poems are not perfect, but I have a feeling you might like one. I encourage you to check out the contest page and read to receive comments. Tell me a little about your poetic skills if you like. It will be my pleasure to follow and read every poem you post from here on :) We are Lucky To Have you. Your New Poet Friend @-> LINDA <-@
