Finding Wisdom
Every now and then, we find a someone
who fits into the puzzle that we call life,
to explain it is an exercise in futility,
to understand it takes more than human wisdom.
Some people enter our lives and barely make a dent,
others stay in our minds - yet are always in the background,
but then there are those chosen few who become front-and-center,
it is these few who shape us, guide us, motivate us, scold us,
and yes... change us for the person we eventually become.
And in the end, it is not for our transformation that we thank them,
but for their patience and for their inner strength they have displayed,
along with their consistent love that they have shown for us.
These life-qualities are why we most appreciate their contributions to us,
and why they stay front-and-center in our hearts and in our minds.
