Finding Serenity

Decorations hanging, lights and tree
                              A festive home of warmth for me
                                        Gratitude is all around
                                     But, there is no-one found
                                      Lonely thoughts creep in
                                                Moving the joy
                                                      To a far
                                                        Empty 
                                                        Place
                                                         Then
                                                        A note
                                                   Comes along
                                                   From another
                                               Message in a song
                                               Singing only for me
                                     Then all special things around
                                     Bring new comfort with clarity
                                           Our celebration, serenity

I did not do much this year and have enjoyed seeing the scenes in our town what little I have gotten to see them because I did not decorate. Congrats on your winner.
