Final Station
It was at the final station
The symphony lived and died
Cracked ribs as consolation
Their mercy misapplied
The symphony lived and died
In search of silent, truthful land
Their mercy misapplied
Justice stayed Her honest hand
In search of silent, truthful land
Prayers went up, steadfast and succinct
Justice stayed Her honest hand
With upturned eyes to God, and blinked
Prayers went up, steadfast and succinct
They began to doubt the world of sense
With upturned eyes to God, they blinked
With bated breath held in suspense
They began to doubt the world of sense
Infinite time, space, and distance
With bated breath held in suspense
Saved at Fate’s insistence
