FIGHTING

This baby kept running away
From the breast
That showed him the way
He has wished
He returns to his yesterday
When the beast
in him had not craved it this way
Travelled East to West...
And all he kept thinking was...
'I should have shoved away
the breast that showed me the way'
He couldn't run for long
Soon he got swept away
By whatever he dreaded
Lust overflowing
With the devil on his back
Guilt written allover his face
He still felt the joy in chaos
Knowing repentance is real
And the holy ghost he could feel
He decided
to fill and feel her hole whole
Despite his guitar being too small
To be played in her big hall,
He didn't mind being fanta-bulous-tically
Blueticked over and over
Made many errors and terrors...
That night to him was a blessed horror
And when the sun came up
To unveil the third day token
On His second return
It was already judgement day....
For his good sins he had to pay
That's why all is fair in love and war
In love we give, in love we take
In love we rise, in love we fall
Not too far from war...yet still parallel
Gave in not to any, but his mother...
So why has Samson trusted Delilah.....
For a second time..........
Is it to be betrayed once again?

This is a very interesting poem about human nature & the need to learn our lessons. I love how you’ve contrasted breast & beast, Ruth. These lines are an outstanding highlight to your final line question. “He still felt the joy in chaos/ Knowing repentance is real”. ThkU for sharing. Seasons Blessings your way.
