Fifteen Minutes

For fifteen minutes I got really angry
After fifteen minutes I was really sad

For fifteen minutes
The stupid traffic turned me into something really, really mad

Within fifteen minutes
All my life turned from something happy
All my life turned from all that was good to bad.

A quick decision in anger made
Saw red mist fall into snarling rage

Those fifteen minutes will forever stay with me
Much more now than their worth of a 30th of my daily pay

To keep those fifteen minutes I acted so unlike me
I saw my nature unfold, oneself was truly betrayed

It took fifteen minutes from my foot pushing harder
For someone who was living to stop growing old

Fifteen minutes/900 seconds is all it took
To erase more than a life; truth be told
