Fiery Hues

Fireworks explode in the night sky
Splendid hues then fade in a flash
 Stars twinkle a distant reply
As fiery hues come to a crash

Splendid hues then fade in a flash
 Celestial fireflies twinkling flight
As fiery hues come to a crash
  Amazing colors that delight

 Celestial fireflies twinkling flight
  Stars twinkle a distant reply
  Amazing colors that delight
Fireworks explode in the night sky

a belated congrats. I come here and don't see new poems too often, so then i look for something I've not congratulated yet. Glad you won in the contest.

Everyone loves a fireworks display but it scares our pets. A fine piece. God Bless, JB

"Celestial fireflies in flight" I have never thought of Fireworks in this way. Such a beautiful image you paint. I am smiling. :) Brandy

Great imagery of fireworks you created in this hard to execute form, Joseph---especially in short lines. All the best.
