Field of Lost Souls

Walking through an old battlefield
Deathly spinal chills I feel
I am not alone as I stride
Someone is by my side
The faint whispers of mens cry
Carried in winds passing by
Surrounded by souls of soldiers past
Torn from lifes vessels in a violent clash
I close my eyes and tearfully witness images
Of horrors in wars limitless savages
If only I could assist the wondering deceased
And help them rest in eternal peace
Its so sad that fallen men died
For a country leaders pride
Forever trapped in hells hole
The field of lost souls
