Fell Into Writing Poetry Accidentally
I fall into my days completely up or terribly down
The ups are much more frequently
But the downs are dangerous
Deadly downs
Writing has compelled me to throw down my truth
Which I cannot do in words or if people are looking
No one sees me on a poetry site
Some hate me and I care not
Poetry was something I never thought I would do
I thought it was foo frew and stupid actually.
Then I read Coleridge
Although I did not understand his words
I completely understood his feelings
I did not come to poetry writing easily
It was something to do at work one day
When I was stuck there for seven hours
with nothing to do because it was conferences
And no parent wants to talk to a counselor on conference day
I fell into it accidentally
But it helps the ups and the downs
And forces me to find good inside myself
