Here is a picture of me with my mom, who is very young for her 84 years! This was taken just last week the day after my surgery.  She came all the way from Iowa on the Amtrak train to be with me and I take her home very early in the morning to go back to Iowa July 21.  On the right side of the picture is my lovely daugher and her three children are with us. We are four generations of oldest daughters represented in this photo as well! (Incidentally, my daughter is very tall, almost 6 feet. I am medium size and height, and my mom is very petite. Thus my reference to her as a little girl in my poem.)

I open the door to one of our guest bedrooms and find her nearly asleep . . . she who long ago tucked me into bed each night when I was such a small child. Tonight it is I who lean down to kiss the face of a precious little girl.

Oh, relation! I know this feel, have tucked my Moma in and kissed her and felt my heartstrings flutter just as in your tender write. This is awesome, Andrea. And time marches on! (the pic doesn't show, bummer that.) Remember the Kodak commercial, turn around, turn around .. ball your head off stuff ... CayCay
