Feel Her Fury Rise

greedily slaughtered earth's trees cry out for vengeance . . . we choke on their angst water overflows from earth's oceanic wounds . . . she bleeds tsunamis if you feel her shake deep within her ancient bones. . . you can know her pain the beasts she cradles are vanishing from our midst. . . our own demise looms she seethes at her core with a volcanic passion. . . feel her fury rise November 21, 2019 N/A in All About The Environment. Congratulations Andrea! The imagery in this poem is stunning and powerful. Beautiful "show" not "tell" about the ways our environment is changing and not for the better it seems. Masterful write.

Wolf is right. That's how a true poetry works. The more banal the topic, the more obvious it is... Now all we need is to figure out what a true poetry is. It's easy: talent + masterfulness. This crazy pair can galvanize any theme) Congrats, Andrea. I enjoyed it too.

The intensity of feeling you have penned into this poem is astonishing! This topic has become, frankly, a cliche-ridden and maudlin mantra of virtue signalers. But not this poem!! You have moved me, and I hope many others. Bravo, Andrea! A FAVE. Thanks, Gershon

Andrea, 'Ancient bones...she seethes at her core'. I agree with all the lines of Her angst. Very well written piece indeed. -Richard

Who is the "she" in this poem? Is she Mother Nature? I find this poem quite powerful - it touches on the environment - something the present administration is ignoring. Peace & Love Matthew Anish

I feel the heat rising and hear your warning, Andrea in each of your Senryu stanzas. Human actions are certainly changing our environment very fast. All the best.
