Feel

FEEL

What do you see
when you color, the day
what do you feel
when you hope, that l say
look at that
we're alive.

What do you gain
if you reflect, on the pain
what do you feel
when you hope, 
that l say
'look at that, we're alive'.

Energized, by the sea
of the waves , in the glow
floating up, to the sun
because we know
that we'll say
'look at that, we're alive'

Safe and near
do you see
all the beauty, that's ahead
do you feel
all the hope
look at that, we're alive

look at that
do you feel, do you see,
we're alive.

It is obvious to the reader that here is a person, even when you are writing when somewhat down or depressed, who genuinely loves life despite all its tragedies and sadness...and within it all sees everything of the splendour. My warmest regards as always. :) john Jacqueline Elston Date: 10/29/2017 6:22:00 AM lm convinced we need to 'feel it' then we'll 'know it' ...then we write etc etc lm bedbound with severe CFS/ME & l can honestly say l would never have found the right words for my own poems before l was ill. There is always some good that comes out of bad..we may not see it at the time, but with insight we understand the meaning of it hopefully at a later date....i did.& that makes me happy :)
