February Snow

An orange burn stretches long and deep along the evening sky. Fifty degrees and sunny just yesterday and then the gray rolled in. Calm and quiet came the night filled with light snow that grew heavy with the mix of rain. The midnight hour rose in light a blinding white that lay upon the earth and on the trees. A winter wonderland awoke to snowman's snow four inches deep and layered. February edged out slow and steady brushing the newly peeked bulbs with a heavy blanket. Sunday was refreshed with an enveloping warm that melted as quickly as the day came.
