February Second

February second we gather round

To watch the groundhog come out of the ground

The weather man we ignore

But the groundhog we implore

To predict an early spring may be found

ok, it's one I had already seen but it's still great. I think I like your other groundhog one just a tad better!!

This is a really cool one about that groundhog, Francine. I am sure enjoying all the fun February limericks. With your comment, I am finished up for the night and i'll just see your soupmail before going off. Luv, Andrea

Each year, an early spring is wishful thinking. As long as the earth remains tilted on its axis as it orbits the sun, we will have to endure winter from December 22 (winter solstice) to March 22 (spring equinox). Good limerick Francine.
