February

Fresh winter wind shines Early day's icy lace Brisk peppermint breath Refined milky light Ubiquitous candy hearts Allows a splash of Red and pink to brighten Yearlings' skittish steps to spring.

Thanks a bunch. I was trying not to think of sweet things tonight - peppermint milky (reminds me of milky ways), red and pink - do you have any idea how many candy hearts are red and pink? I could be hungry. I cannot blame you truthfully. Nice one.

Delightful! I love when the form fades away and there is just poetry. Well done

What amazing images you create, Michelle. I'm generally not fond of the acrostic form, but the yearlings, splashes of Valentine colors and peppermint breath are very creative descriptions! A fave!!

Oh, that last line pierced my 'man-cave defenses,' and I got all sentimental; wanted to read "The Yearling," by M.J. Rawlings again and again and again. Beautiful acrostic, Michelle. :) gw
