Fearless Leader

He would have us follow him,
To dark worlds unknown, or to the bedroom.
He would have us swallow him,
Those light words shone softly in the gloom.
He would have us follow him,
To grey wars, or to impending doom.
He would have us hollow him,
Glasses blown, swept with cinnamon broom.
