Fear of the Unknown

       A crack in the pavement
          Does it portend
       a death in the family
          an untimely end

       Is it an opening
          for widow’s weeds
       or just a spittoon
          for sunflower seeds

as a spokesperson for the bicycling sunflowers group I find the idea of "spitting" sunflowers hilarious....

Ouch! Don't do that!!... That's such an awful thought, isn't it. It must be culled from those awful British nursery rhymes like Humpty Dumpty, Jack & Jill, and all the others that speak of injury and pain!

A crack in the pavement may be because of a number of reasons. It needn't evoke serious fears in us. All we have to do is walk careful not to fall in the crack and prevent our bones from being cracked....! .... :)
