Fear

What brought me here,
to this place in which I cannot see,
I cannot move...
There is an ocean of emotions inside of me
and I am drowning.
Nothing surrounds me...
It is only you.
Why can I not see through the disastrous mask of which you're hiding behind?
I can taste the fear in the air...
my fear.
But I do not fear that in which I cannot see
nor feel,
I fear what I feel.
I fear what blinds me.
You are nothing more than darkness peering into my soul
searching...
searching for something to take,
something to steal....
All that I am is you
I am darkness.
This is what I fear...
You are no more than darkness,
but you scream the truth.
