Fear

We all carry intangibles throughout our lives. If I sit and think about it I can tell you some of mine. I fear no man. I have all the power. If I were scared of a human being, you would consider me a coward. I am strong and fearless. I have no care. I have ALL the power and I could never share. I can feel it in my chest and if you stand close enough you can feel it too. Do you feel it? Tell me you feel it. It’s there. It's what I carry with me that makes me UNLIKE you. All I speak are FACTS, you know this is true. Oh I guess the truth is out and this is what’s new. All that I’ve said is really not me. I carry none of the above you see. I speak of my swagger and feelings of might. But deep down all I carry is fright. A fear SO HEAVY it takes a village. Except those in my life just want to pillage. We all have fear. We all have doubt. That’s what life is all about. Do you feel it? Tell me you feel it. It’s heavy. It’s light. It’s black and grey and white. I walk with my head high to keep it from swinging low. I close my eyes so the tears don’t flow. I have no power. It’s just fear I carry. I can feel it in my chest and if you stand close enough you can feel it too. It’s what I carry with me that makes me JUST like you.
