Notes About The Poem

- Fatima Hand, Tattoo -

The man screams :
                                        "Cursed be the woman
                                         who performs tattoos
                                             and the woman
                                       who asks to have it done"

                                            Chaotic emotions
                                               Tears in hers
                                         long black eyelashes
                                  Loss of patience and self-control

                                    Stainless sterile tattoo needles
                                              Particles of ink
                                       five fingers on the hand
                                              (two thumbs)
                                           Present and future
                                         Permanent ornament
                                        ... the eternal symbol
                                            "God's right hand"
