Fathom
I am the deep blue of the deep blue --
I dance outwardly,
crashing white frothy spirals on the shoreline
bringing life
and death.
I hold in abeyance
the fish in the sea,
the coral, fauna
and the mighty Leviathan.
They come and go at my bidding
to take or be taken,
to feed or be fed upon;
as is my deep blue whimsy.
I exhale and send treasures
onto the sand
with shining abundance
to be found by explorers on my shores.
I inhale and take back what I've given,
burying deep beneath trenches
my treasures
to be found by explorers of the deep.
Like stars in the heaven,
I will be here to time indefinite
to live forever with only the ebb and flow --
the fish, coral, fauna,
and of course the great Leviathan.
