Fathers and Sons

For one to take the challenge of a child And place him on the path to carry on The legacy a father has compiled, He must remember, he too is a son. Each boyish jaunt may test a patient man, Remember then the vigor of your prime So with that wisdom you may understand And simply know that things will change in time. No father keeps a son through apathy, Disputes of youth fade quickly in the mind, So open wide your eyes so you can see the Obstinance that keeps each other blind. Now fathers love your sons with all your heart So when you're old and gray they ne'er depart.

An acrostic sonnet, I like it! Well done, Mark.

How are you Mr Mark Massey? This is such a sweet poem, yet filled with solemn advice, such wisdom. And I like how it's not over-the-top. It has a pleasant balance. There is very little written to empower men and their relationships these days.Thank you for the deep, tender and much needed message
