Father Will I Ever Measure Up

I Have Read Some of Your Book, the Stories told and the Positive Messages it attempts to Portray. I Believe in them, But Don’t know if I Can Live up To Them? To Prove My Worth as A Man, I Seek Power, Influence, Monetary Wealth and Prestige. I Think of Being Virtuous, A Man Of Character, Humble and Truth Seeking. Though I Still Often Seek Lusts of The Flesh, Even If Only In My Mind. Oh Wretched and Sinful Man that I Am. Your Words Wash Over Me, Renewing My Mind, Spirit and Resolve, But I Often Wonder If It Is Enough? For In My Daily Walk, I Often Do the Right Thing, But With The Wrong Motives. Many Times Seeking Mine Own Ends At Any Cost. Father Give Me Wisdom For Today, For Tomorrow I Will Need More. Grant Me Daily Sustenance For Food, Shelter, Clothing and a Few of My Many Wants, Or Hearts Desires. Help Me Not to Seek to Be Free Of Your Guidance, Instruction(s) Or Laws, Merely to attain Temporary Goals which Fade and Decay With the Passage Of Time. Know that I Love You, I Don’t Always Understand You, Or Know Your Will, Though I Long to Have Your Presence In My Life. Forgive Me For Past Indiscretions and Daily Misjudgments In Character, for I Am Only A Man, Made Of Flesh and Blood. Though Made Of Clay, and Seeking Your Face. Sincerely, Your Son by Adoption Author Paul Cumberbatch (September 15th, 2020)
