Father And Daughter
Listen to poem:
The bond between a father, and daughter, can’t be blocked, taken, or stolen
You can try, but it’s not yours to have, you can never understand the notion
You can smirk, even laugh in my face, live off my own destiny and emotions
Wear my clothes, walk down the street enjoying my life and your promotion
Others may be blind to it all, not understand my grief, but it is not your story
Knowing there’s nothing I can do without being told I’m jealous of your glory
So I wait ever patiently on the side lines, I’m waiting on the day that you fall
Until then I’m watching you thinking how you took my father, as had the gall
But you are just another sad soul who thought on my happiness had it made
Thus in your cruel calculated way, were out to make sure, I was made to pay
So, my answer to you is take it, enjoy it, whilst you can with your false heart
No more the anger within me, as I now amuse myself on this unnatural farce
Repeat . . .
