Fast, fast, it’s all way to fast, The rain drops keep falling from the sky. They all fall real fast, smashing the roof, Leaving me to ponder just why. Everything’s fast: nights, mornings, and days, In my eyes and my ears and my brain. Every thought that I have is fleeting away, Fleeting like a little ghost train. My thought’s in a train speeding at night, In silence with the rain of my soul. Where everything’s fast in chaos and funk, And my conscience has gone for a stroll. It’s just fast, too fast, this rain from the sky, Too fast for my little mind. I try to be nice but these thoughts never stay, They leave me here still standing behind.

This, to me, is gripping work. I was hooked before the 3rd stanza thoroughly reeled me in. I love the peppy, popping rhyme and flow in that stanza so much! Wonderful work, Lewis ... CayCay
