Fashion

Fashion

Pink goes with blue
Red goes with green
They taught me at school
Not to be so obscene 

But many years on
I now trust nature's choices
Rather than trends
Or those nose-turning voices

I no longer need
My perspective to ration..
For what God has created
Is always in fashion

Marikate Kingston March 5, 2023 at 5:20 PM I used to work at private Catholic school where the children had to wear uniforms. It was in the 90's. Although it seemed antiqueted, it worked to prevent competition, jelousy, and insecurity, and encouraged more attention on school and kindness. Glad to have found this meaningful poem, Christopher.
