Fascinated
I’m fascinated
By stars,
Your photograph burns an image
Stripped jive and sashay portrait
Bare-boned and statuesque;
Jolting below the waist,
The cosmic crunch of desire,
And how I burn there,
Like trashcan or oil-drum fires
Radiating against the hobo rags,
Heating the stone-cold skin to tingling life.
Man, such feelings,
By stars
Fascinated.
Like, how your finger traces the line
Of your jaw below the lip,
Captured and still, the smile,
Monochromatic and enigmatic, knowing and
Knowing, enigma within splendour,
Black and white eyes smooth as silk and mercury;
I reach to touch and my hand strays
Trembling from the near contact,
And love solidifies, realises;
Man, such feelings
By stars
Fascinated.
