FAREWELL 2025

Thank you, 2025.
You walked beside us—
in joy,
in wound,
in the quiet rooms
where hope whispered
and fear answered.

You were a year of endings.
A circle completing itself.
2 + 0 + 2 + 5 = 9—
the number of return,
the gate of closure,
the final breath
before new breath begins.

You were not death,
but the shadow of completion—
a gentle warning
that nothing remains,
and nothing is ever lost.

Today you leave.
We bow our heads,
not in defeat,
but in recognition
that even time
obeys a higher master.

Goodbye, 2025.
Go with the wind.
But do not fall
into emptiness.
Rest lightly
upon the sun
that bore you into us.

And if this day
does not fulfill our longing,
let it at least
become a promise—
a vow
that when next we meet,
we shall not be the same,
and neither will you.

Our needs change.
Our faith trembles.
But your love—
the quiet law of cycles—
remains.

We know this truth:
From the greater silence,
you shall return.
Another womb will call you.
Another dawn will name you.

Farewell, 2025.
Lie down gently
upon the world
you helped create.

Your ending
is only the dark breath
before the next beginning.
