Far Away

In another reality I knew you Time was running out and the hourglass slowly emptied You left for a distant shore Stolen moments that we shared have been delicately placed in the jeweled box that is memory Thrilling passions have become piles of ash As for the future I don't ask the impossible Just light one candle and be able to watch its glow as it melts - ever so slowly

Very impressive work about love loss..I hope that is not your life but just about the topic..Enjoyed reading this morn..Thanks for stopping by my Jellyfish work..I got stung by a jelly about ten years ago..It was a horrible experience ...I am so glad that it was not a deadly type of jelly..Sara

I really like the words here, Matt, but I seem to be having problems interpreting the shape poems here at Soup. Is this either a melting candle or an hourglass? I sure hope it is one of those two things! As for your question on having listened to famous poets reading their work. Are you kidding? I have not even listened to INfamous poets reading. hahaha (of course I mean normal ones like me!!!)
