Family Tree Warning

When searching among the branches
of your family tree
Be prepared for the scrapes and thorns
you'll get along the way
Your sure to find some funny stories
mixed in with all the nuts
But lies and secrets will come seeping
up as sap from the roots
Don't take everything your told
by others at face value
They have their own private splinters
buried deep in the shadows
Delve deep into the inner branches
and poke among the leaves
For bitter sweet is the fruit
of the family tree

Beautiful write, Paula. I have done one for my family's "Pictorial Tree" which I have yet to post here. However, I may enter it into one of the Soup contests later. This has some wonderful images and things brought out which you wouldn't expect in a family tree. Keep the pen flowing. Dan C
