Family

What is family but a means of control?
Things we would never excuse for anyone else
And for what?
So they can milk off each other’s success
And call it “caring”
They push their judgment on each other.
To force the younger to live out their lost dreams
Causing more and more problems
And a feeling of pressure that becomes overwhelming
True family are the ones who stand up for you
The ones who support each other’s dreams
And return each other’s favors
Who accept the growth and changes of each other over time
That is what true family is
