Family

Now that I'm on in years
I begin to savor all I have tasted
The past the worst of my fears
All the moments I have wasted
Bitter the taste of tears
In addittion, to those I abated
Closer those still near
All our hearts related

So much truth in your words. I'm a little confused about the second word in the sixth line. Was it meant to be like that for emphasis? Congratulations on having your poem featured. Keep on writing! Karen
