Falls Jaunty Sweater
Fall leaves change color turning awesome bright,
oft using autumn shades of festive hue.
Perchance to wither waiting winter's night,
alas to die except a stalwart few.
This light from yonder brilliant eye dims low,
it softens days and makes the darkness deep.
All so soon we can feel approaching snow,
when near his covered hovel one must keep.
Anon, a special day give happy dreams
to children seeking pleasant candy treats.
Then harvest, time for pumpkin pie and creams,
bread, wine and cheese, assorted kinds of meats.
This season plays with tubes and easel frame,
in jaunty sweater she is one grand dame.
